PRAYERS OVER GATES

1. In the name of Jesus Christ, I possess the gates of the enemy in this city. Every spiritual gate of advancement that has been closed is now opened.
   “That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.” — Genesis 22:17 (KJV)
2. I decree and declare that in this city, the gates of hell shall not prevail against me and my family, in the name of Jesus Christ.
   “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” — Matthew 16:18 (KJV)
3. I command the gates of my life in this country to open now! The Lord is giving us our portion according to His divine purpose, in the name of Jesus Christ.
   “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.” — Psalm 24:7 (KJV)
4. By the resurrection power of Jesus Christ, the gates of righteousness are open to me and my family in this city. None of us shall be hindered, in the name of Jesus Christ.
   “Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord.” — Psalm 118:19 (KJV)
5. In the name of Jesus, I destroy the gates of brass and cut in sunder the bars of iron that represent poverty and limitation in this city.
   “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron.” — Isaiah 45:2 (KJV)
6. Every spiritual leader or power that has caged the virtues at the gates of this city—those gates are now opened before me! I go in and receive the treasures of darkness and hidden riches in secret places, in the name of Jesus.
   “Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; I will go before thee… and I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places…” — Isaiah 45:1–3 (KJV)
7. I rebuke and bring judgment upon every enemy at the gates of this city who has corrupted the youth through fraud, gambling, and prostitution, in the name of Jesus Christ.
   “Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.” — Psalm 127:5 (KJV)
8. Lord, You are the God of this city! I cast out every foul spirit that resists good and godly progress in this area, in the name of Jesus Christ.
   “And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the Lord, Because the Syrians have said, The Lord is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.” — 1 Kings 20:28 (KJV)
9. I bind and destroy every Goliath in this area who stands to challenge the churches and the people of God in this nation, in the name of Jesus Christ.
   “Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle... And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.” — 1 Samuel 17:1–4 (KJV)
10. I command every giant in this city and valley to be destroyed now, in the name of Jesus!
    “And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward...” — Joshua 15:8 (KJV)
11. We join hands in prayer for this city and declare the repair of every gate of prosperity. Let every household and individual experience success and divine increase, in the name of Jesus Christ.
    “And I went out by night by the gate of the valley... and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire.” — Nehemiah 2:13 (KJV)
12. I command the city’s Fountain Gate—representing the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the youth—to be repaired now, in the name of Jesus!
    “That I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days. And I arose in the night... and viewed the gates of Jerusalem, which were broken down...” — Nehemiah 2:3 (KJV)
13. I command the Sheep Gate—symbolizing apostolic power and the movement of shepherds—to be restored now in this city, in the name of Jesus Christ.
    “Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it…” — Nehemiah 3:1 (KJV)
